TutorialHow to Read the Prices on a Combusto Town Page
Understand every part of a town page: the cheapest price, the full list of stations, the map, and how your town compares with the rest of the province.
Every town in Spain has its own page on Combusto with the current fuel prices at all of its petrol stations. This guide walks through what you see on that page, using Alcalá de Henares as the example.
A note on the interface: Combusto is currently in Spanish. Labels are shown as they appear on screen, followed by their English meaning in parentheses.
Open a town page
There are three ways to get to a town page:
- Type the town's name in the search box in the header. See the tutorial on searching for a town.
- Tap a town in Ciudades más buscadas (Most searched cities) on the home page.
- Tap the town name in a row of the "stations near you" list, or a link under Municipios cercanos (Nearby towns) at the bottom of another town page.
The cheapest price at a glance
The top of the page shows the cheapest price in the town for the selected fuel, in large numbers.

From top to bottom you will find:
- Gasóleo A más barato en (Cheapest diesel in) and the name of the town. The fuel name follows the fuel selector in the header.
- The price in €/litro (euros per litre).
- The brand and address of the station that has that price, with a Cómo llegar (Get directions) link that opens the route in Google Maps.
- Actualizado hace… (Updated … ago), which tells you how recent the data is.
If several stations share the lowest price, the page doesn't pick one. It says how many there are, for example "2 gasolineras a este precio — mira la tabla de abajo" (2 stations at this price, see the table below).
To see the price for another fuel, change the selector in the header. The price, the station list and the averages further down update without reloading the page.
All the stations in the town
Below the price, Todas las gasolineras (All stations) lists every station in the town that sells the selected fuel. The number on the right is how many there are.

- The list is sorted by price, cheapest first. The cheapest station is highlighted in yellow and tagged más barata (cheapest).
- Gasolinera (Station) shows the brand and address, plus the Cómo llegar link for directions.
- Distancia (Distance) is measured from the centre of the town, not from where you are. Use it to see which stations are near the middle and which are on the outskirts. To get distances from your own position, use the home page. See the tutorial on finding the cheapest station near you.
- The last column is the price per litre for the selected fuel.
Stations whose location is missing or clearly wrong in the official data are still listed, but without a distance or a directions link.
The map
Under the table, a map shows one marker for each station in the list, so you can see where the cheap ones are.

Use the + and − buttons, or pinch and scroll, to zoom in and move around.
Compare with the average
Further down, two figures put the prices in context:

- Media de (the town): the average price across all stations in the town.
- Media de (the province): the average across the whole province.
Both averages are calculated for the fuel you have selected, so they change when you switch fuel. If the town average is lower than the province one, fuel in your town is cheaper than usual for the area.
Under the averages, Ver el ranking de municipios de… (See the ranking of towns in…) opens the province page, which lists every town in the province from the cheapest to the most expensive. See the tutorial on searching for a town and comparing a province.
The line Municipios cercanos (Nearby towns) links to neighbouring towns, which is handy for checking whether a short drive saves you money.
Good to know
- Only stations that sell the selected fuel are listed. If a station you know is missing, it may not offer that fuel.
- Prices come from the official data published by Spain's Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, and may differ from the pump at the moment you fill up.
